Project Description

Objective:

The primary goal of this project was to create an accurate and comprehensive as-built 3D model of the current situation from point cloud data. This model would include various systems such as water, powder dosing, process equipment for milling and mixing, pressured air, instruments and electric, civil, and architecture. Additionally, the project aimed to optimize 3D data for improved usability and synchronization with the client's preferred software.

Scope of Work:

1.Creation of As-Built 3D Model:

Utilized point cloud data to generate a detailed 3D model reflecting the existing conditions of the facility.

Managed and grouped data into families for each system, ensuring clarity and ease of use. Systems included:

Water System
Powder Dosing System
Process Equipment for Milling and Mixing
Pressured Air
Instruments and Electric
Civil and Architectural Components

2.Data Management:

Tagged and added required information for each part and system within the model.
Organized data in a structured manner to facilitate easy navigation and reference.

3.3D Data Optimization:

Optimized 3D data to ensure seamless integration and functionality within the client's preferred software solutions.
Ensured the optimized model was easy to open, navigate, and work with, enhancing user experience and productivity.

4.Future Equipment Integration and Clash Report:

Imported 3D models of future equipment into the as-built model to assess spatial fit and compatibility.
Conducted a thorough clash report to identify and resolve potential conflicts between existing structures and new installations,
ensuring a smooth integration process.

Key Outcomes

Delivered a highly accurate and detailed as-built 3D model that provided a comprehensive overview of the current facility layout.
Successfully managed and organized data, making it accessible and user-friendly for ongoing and future reference.
Optimized 3D data to improve compatibility with the client’s software, enhancing operational efficiency.
Identified and resolved potential clashes between existing infrastructure and future equipment, paving the way for seamless upgrades and installations.
